@ What type of services does Scanwell provide?

We have 4 types of services listed as below:

(1) Door to Door (DD)We pick up your boxes at your house and deliver to your destination address. For the U.S.A pick-up, please put your boxes at the front door in the first floor. For the destination delivery, we provide in door delivery services.

(2) Door to Port (DP) We pick up your boxes at your house and deliver to your destination address. For the U.S.A pick-up, please put your boxes at the front door in the first floor. Upon your boxes arrival, we will help you do the Customs clearance. After all Customs clearance process, you need to pick up your boxes by yourself at the port.

(3) Port to Door (PD) You send your boxes directly to our warehouse located in San Bruno, California. We will deliver your boxes to your destination address. For the destination delivery, we provide in door delivery services.

(4) Port to Port (PP)You send your boxes directly to our warehouse located in San Bruno, California. Upon your boxes arrival, we will help you do the Customs clearance. After all Customs clearance process, you need to pick up your boxes by yourself at the port.


@ How to get a quote?

@ How many boxes should I ship to get the best price?

Ocean shipment has its minimum charges, i.e., at least 1 CBM, Customs, Repacking, Documentation charges,...etc. Therefore, if the volume increases, average cost per box would be lower. In other words, if based on 24' X 20' X 18' size boxes,total price of 1~3 boxes is same as 5~8 boxes.





Therefore, we would recommend that you ship with your friends. More boxes, less average cost per box.




@ Do you provide boxes?

YES !! we do provide boxes. You can come and pick it up from our office ( 400 Oyster Point Suit 135 Blvd, South San Francisco, CA 94080) or get it online from U-Line, whichever is more convient for you. We could accept any size of boxes. However, we strongly recommend that you use the same size boxes, then you could get the estimated price more precisely. If you want to buy boxes, we suggest buying 24'x 20'x 18' size box.
Note:
  • We will reinburse you $4.00/Box if you come and pick it up at our office.
  • We will reinburse you $3.50/Box if you order it yourself online.

@ Would actual price be different from the estimated price?

Yes. The final price would be based on actual CBM measured in our warehouse. That is why we recommend using same size boxes to get the price more precisely.

@ Do I need to do the Customs clearance or the related documentation?

No matter what types of service you chose (DD/DP/PD/PP), we will help you do the Customs clearance and the related documentation.


@ Do I need to pay any additional charges in the destination?

No. You don't need to pay any additional charges in the destination. Our price includes all.


@ How to pay?

We accept cash and check. You could either stop by our office to make a payment or mail the check to us. If you want to write the check, please write the title as Scanwell Logistics (SFO), Inc. and mail the check to our SFO office located at South San Francisco, CA.
